You oppose war in Iran because you want troops in California instead.

You don’t need an education system, just past lived experience. Trump himself regularly lies about how he was always against the Iraq war. It’s just one letter off, should be pretty easy to work out what would happen if they did the same thing again.

Yep, huge country, difficult terrain, largely homogeneous culture that goes back to the Persian Empire, homegrown weapons industry that can build their own drones and missiles. This is going to be more difficult by orders of magnitude.

Saw polling where even Trump voters only have 25% support for attack on Iran, and majority of all demographics oppose by over 50%. There is a huge disconnect between zionist supremacist media and politicians, and American people. Not just war, but marjority of Amercians have unfavourable view of Israel despite absolute political/media dominance to “educate them”.

Kinda. MTG is ragging on Fox News, sure, but she’s also both-sides’ing media outlets on the left with her full quote:

We have propaganda news on our side just as the left does

She’s fishing for people to agree with her which legitimizes her claim that left-leaning news networks are just as untrustworthy as Fox News, which is an untrustworthy news outlet, but she doesn’t say shit about Breitbart or OANN or any of the other right-wing superspreaders of misinformation.

So, she is a broken clock that’s currently pointing at the correct time, but she did it in a way to sneak in an untruth or two in there hoping that people would pick up on that and amplify the message.

Look, fuck this racist asshole Marjory. But liberal news sources are also largely garbage. The NYT, for example (well respected by liberals) is constantly giving voice to reactionaries, lying by omission, supporting US imperialism and just generally upholding the status quo, even when it means normalizing/legitimizing fresh horrors from republicans.

A broken clock, whether it ticks too fast or too slow, is still right at least once every 24 hours, I think.

The only exception would be one that ticks correctly but is not set to the right time (does this count as broken?)

If it ticks faster than time than it would be right more than once (24hr time) a day, the faster it ticks the more times it will incidentally be correct (perhaps there is an allegory here…)

A clock that ticks slower than time would be right less than once a day, but it can never…

I feel like I need a simulator to understand this relationship actually…

I was thinking of analog 12hr clock with no distinction between AM and PM

I wonder if your 24hr clock example would be more intuitive as frequencies and phases?

I was also visualizing the round analogue clock face, but didn’t want to muddy the water by saying “twice” when I guess it’s technically only once, just no am/pm delineation.

I am puzzling over this at work now. I guess a fast clock could be right almost infinite times a day if it ran fast enough, but a slow clock can only be as slow as a whisper faster than stopped, which would mean it could be right alllllllllllllmost twice a day, but never twice a day.

She already opposed “anti-BDS” laws that would criminalize Americans for publicly declaring that they will not buy products for political reasons.

While she is a terrible person all around, she is consistent in asking “does this help America” in her idea of what “America” is supposed to be.

Evidently wasting billions on Israel, getting US soldiers killed and forbidding people in the US from voicing their opionion including on what to buy and not to buy is detrimental to the US.

            Isn’t it fascinating.

Like the other day I learned just how easy it would be to make an AI “character” and sell “nudes” to men on only fans.

Like if all the people scalping the Switch 2 had any clue how much they could make doing that, I’d be able to buy a Switch 2. Then I could do it too to make money to buy the Switch 2 games.

But unlike scalpers, my empathy prevents me from telling people there’s sex in the VIP room.

Well it might make a few bucks there but it’s a pretty disgusting concept. I don’t really understand how there are so many people utterly devoid of empathy.

I always assumed it was an innate human trait and that someone needed to have it abused out of their brain or have some kind of mental illness. Is it even possible that this many children being mistreated so badly or have undiagnosed mental illness? That is both a shocking idea and hard to believe.

The alternative is that it’s a learned trait and the parents and educators of these people have failed them so spectacularly that they can’t even begin conceive of their inability to identify with another person. The cognitive dissonance required to see a person that doesn’t look exactly like them as not a person is astounding.

If you could sum it up in one word: isolationist.

This means low/no immigration, limiting cultural access to ‘home grown’ culture and expelling anyone that doesn’t conform to whatever her idea of ‘American’ is. The only ‘good’ part of that stance is that this also means they don’t want to sign up to the traditional penchant for military adventurism you’ll typically see from the right.
