“I’m knittin’ like a fuckin electric nan”
That’s cool. I went in 2017.
We aren’t in such a nice timeline.
In Thai, the number ‘5’ is pronounced like “haa”, so Thai people write 555 to signify laughter, similar to ‘lol’.
I quit smoking when Marlboros went over $2/pack lol. Airports had these awful rooms where all the smokers would cram in and hotbox. Other countries are still like it used to be here in the US. Japan comes to mind as one such bad example. If you ask for a non-smoking table in a restaurant, they just sit you at any random table and put a little “no smoking” sign on it!
The FBI is never going to save you from rightwing violence.
Batteries for longer shelf life supposedly. Paintbrushes with paint on them that they were gonna use again? Idk
We all hope it doesn’t come to that, but please arm yourselves and train with your weapons. Get a cheap AR in 5.56/.223, and a pistol in 9mm. These are very common calibers. At least as important as that, make sure you know some people you can trust in your community. Do it now while you can. Guns and ammo will get more expensive as we get closer to the election.
Batteries. Paintbrushes.
Not everyone needs to fight cops in the streets (respect and support to those that do!). There are other ways to fight as well: organizing strikes, sabotage, [redacted]. I think the main problem is that the fascism pot has been simmering for so long, that people are mostly used to it, and can no longer really imagine the alternative. We’re so isolated from each other, and desperate to survive that too many of us will “keep calm and carry on” as long as it isn’t our necks on the chopping block.
I guess, but this just kind of redefines how most people think of egoism/selfishness/altruism etc. Where does it lead? If making people happy is selfish, and making people happy is ‘good’, does that mean any selfish act is ‘good’? Does it really take away from ‘good’ acts if the performer derives happiness from them?
I take the same precautions crossing a Chinese border as I do crossing a US one.
Aaaannndd… It is also a kind of subsidy to US agribiz.
All of them.
Your credit will eventually recover, and you already have a house!
How is it deflecting when you call me a “white savior” for having an outsider opinion about this genocide, if I hold your opinion to the same standard? Have you considered that the rank and file of Hamas live in Palestine? The ones that are fighting and dying? That they themselves are the children and orphans of Palestine?
I’m am sure that there is a variety of opinions among the Palestinian people, just as there are among the Israelis and Americans. I am aware of the limitations of my own perspective, but all I can do is apply my knowledge and principles to the situation as I see it. You’re doing the same, and I don’t really see any point in continuing this conversation. Take that as you will.
Oh shit. Do you live Palestine?
You talk of lust, but it seems like you have a fetish for the genocide of Palestinians.
Ah, now I see who you are. You embody the liberal ideal that dying nonviolently is nobler than violent resistance. So useful to have “military capacity” and not use it while your people are slaughtered and yours lands stolen, eh?
Beer, or if I don’t want beer then I order a tequila tonic. It’s easy for the bartender and it’s like a light margarita.
