…and slash regulations. I know this has always been their goal but damn. He doesn’t even need anything more, he has almost everything money can buy, and he thought, “ok, I have to try to buy the government”.

This is beginning to sound a lot like Cyberpunk. Corporations act like governments while NUSA takes a backseat.

Mike Pondsmith just extrapolated the trends he saw in the society - corporatism, drugs, plastic surgeries, stress, crime, prostitution. He just pushed these things to the extreme and put in scifi setting. This isn’t just Trump thing, this is happening for decades now.

Because launching a rocket isn’t without consequence. Shouldn’t just launch willy nilly every day because you have it, there are other factors (environment, structural damage, etc)to consider which he does not care about.

For a good reason. Approvals are thorough because they are the accumulation of our learnings throughout the decades and centuries.

I don’t know if you’re meaning to justify his actions or what, but let’s not do that justification thingy when it’s completely unjustified.

Nah, this one’s OFFFICIALLY non-governmental and just makes “suggestions”. Because you can’t just create new departments, nor get rid of them, without Congressional approval.

Xitter is worth as much as it was estimated before he paid an absurdly over market price for it but it won’t matter because he got what he wanted out of it and will make all that money back by siding with fascism. So in reality, Xitter didn’t lose any money, Elon just threw away a bunch of billions to make even more later and it worked. America chose this.

I think you give the rest of America too much credit if you think a dumbass like him wouldn’t get rewarded for his unhinged ruthlessness. The country is essentially a giant casino for billionaires at this point and Elon won by betting an absurd amount on red.

Since only somewhere around 65% of people voted and Trump got almost half the votes that means approximately 2/3rds of Americans are at least okay with having Trump as president and fascists in power.

Not everyone that didn’t vote supports this. Some people just couldn’t get the day off because they’re living day by day and couldn’t take a day off to wait in line for 5 hours at the one polling place in their city.

Inaction makes you complicit. Not voting does not give you any moral high ground, especially when one of the people being voted for is a fascist. These people would rather let fascism run free and wait for a golden unicorn instead of making slow and steady progress with imperfect candidates.

In states where they don’t matter by in large. It’s a weird complaint to be honest, of people didn’t vote they either had a reason or weren’t engaged and that isn’t exactly their fault.

          Lol. How brave /s

Show your true colors y’all! Finally, you can stop pretending you truly care about struggling Americans that don’t share the same values as you - coincidentally, exactly like your slightly more racist/white-supremacist neighbors

Hopefully we can at least admit rural folks are absolutely correct in feeling like we hate them. I mean, that still won’t win us any elections but it’s a step in the right direction - one towards a more honest party

I don’t understand what you’re saying. I’m trying to do the exact opposite of celebrating anyone’s misfortune. That’s kinda gross, to me

I know people that can’t even vote that are likely going to have to seriously consider what states they visit or worse. It’s wild that people that supposedly voted against it now support it because they want to feel good about themselves. Classic American shit, tbh
