Lemmy is filled with political content. Voyager is probably just showing what is most popular if you are viewing all, which is going to show a lot of political content.
The best options is to curate a subscribed list or block political subs you don’t want to see.
This is the best you can do.
I’m talking more about stores.
There used to be a deeper ranking structure on where people shopped for groceries and home goods, with strip malls at the bottom. This is part of the reason why people dressed up going shopping; it was a display of economic class.
Retail has flattened significantly across a lot of sectors where there isn’t the levels of retail there used to be.
Amazon has been trying to make sure it can be on all streaming devices as it provides the back end to a lot of other pay streaming channels. FreeVee was probably their Trojan horse to get people Amazon accounts and a service that low end streaming devices would need to serve.
Yeah, but I feel like that is just retail in general. If a store isn’t actively selling an experience, it is just moving product.
There used to be economic levels to where people would shop. Now, most stores only completes on price or convenience.
And two heads instead of one? Peak efficiency!
We get that it is the design philosophy for Mastodon to not have an algorithm serving content, but it appears to be a non-starter for a lot of users of Twitter like services.
In theory, a third party could write that algorithm and implement it in some form. Truth Social functions like that, but without federating to the rest of Mastodon.
Part of it is cultural while another part is economic.
Culturally, Canada was part of the British Empire well into the 20th century. This meant that having relations with Canada was having relations with the British Empire. Outside of the War of 1812, the British Empire typically negotiated with the USA with respect that the USA could project at least the same kind of land power in the Americas as the British Empire could.
Culturally, Mexico was a successor nation to the Spanish Empire. Mexico didn’t have the level of protection that Canada did nor did it have similar government institutions as the USA had. There was also a difference in approach to colonization between the two nations; the USA engaged in settler colonialism using white Europeans while Mexico had a large indigenous population incorporated into Mexican society.
Economically, Canada has a per capita national wealth on par with the USA while Mexico has lagged behind. This has led to a lot of migration from Mexico to the USA and Mexico being used as a low cost labor source.

More like Miami with less booze and weed.
A lot of multiparty civil wars have different sides with mutually exclusive goals.
If you want to talk about boardgames, there are games like Root where different factions have their own separate rules that conflict with allowing multiple people being able to win.
If you make your way to San Antonio, remember the Alamo.
If you want to outdo Walmart, there is also Buc-ee’s.
I agree that the beef likely isn’t halal, but pork definitely won’t be halal.
Choosing to eat non-halal meat in a part of the world where Islam isn’t a significant minority and options for halal meat are limited is a personal decision. Halal options for food may be available in Houston, but they are likely going to be rare.
I’ve dined with Muslims who are ok with eating at non-halal establishments but will not eat pork at all since eating pork is obviously haram.
Texas barbeque is beef based on the count of all that cattle.
Luckily for you, barbeque in Texas is beef based. So I’d recommend eating some good barbeque.
In the long run, yes.
In the short term, no.
And Trump lost 2020 with about the same number of voters.
I’m putting enough money away that I see myself retiring. At minimum, I would transition to a less stressful job about 10 years away from retirement and ride that out as I go to work less and less.
That said, I know I’ll kill myself if my health degrades too much. I haven’t decided what would happen if I run out of money.
