Flares and chaff are often launched at the same time. The flares should attract ir guided munitions and the chaff should attract radar guided munitions.

Personally, I can’t read the serial number on it from that video, so I can’t really say.
I guess as a pilot you don’t go “Well, might not even help, since i dont exacrly know what is headed for me.” or “I won’t press that button” because that might waste flares".
You press that button because it may safe your ass, even on an off chance.
But why flares, aren’t those radar guided missiles? Or perhaps they switch to IR once close to target or they have combined guidance?

Got it. However they could have active radar signal from rocket detected, but yeah, it’s best to release flares as well.
Yeah they would have been releasing chaff and flares, you just can’t see the chaff in the dark
