        I don’t think you can use contempt outside of the courtroom.

        Like if the court rules you can’t deport someone and you do after the fact, you can’t hold the gov or lawyer in contempt after the ruling takes place. If it’s an ongoing case, sure. But if there is a final ruling that’s ignored, I don’t think the judicial branch has any power over the executive for ignoring them.

        Checks and balances procedure would be impeachment by the house.
