Summary

Obama-era DACA recipients are deeply concerned about their future as Donald Trump prepares for a second term.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, created in 2012 to protect undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, faces legal challenges and potential termination.

A 2021 ruling blocked new applications, and the program’s legality is under review, likely heading to the Supreme Court.

Advocates are urging the Biden administration to act quickly to support recipients, while Trump’s immigration hardline stance raises fears of deportation and family separations.

Advocates are urging the Biden administration to act quickly

Why? The Liberals and Democrats as a whole acted as if everything was fine for the past 4 years. They only appointed Jack Smith 2 years after Jan 6.

They don’t need to act quickly because they are not the ones facing the bulk of consequences. Biden did not and could not care less because his party doesn’t see fascism as the existential threat that it is

Edit: if you think I’m exaggerating, remember when a few weeks before dropping out, Biden explicitily said that if he lost against Trump, he would’ve been happy with himself because at least he gave it all? Yeah. That’s not the reaction of someone who truly sees fascism as a cancer to society and democracy
