This is true. A lot of our suffering is worst I our minds than in our realities. This also doesn’t discredit those who’s sufferings are great, and require a great amount of help.

In Québec we all own a state mandated PS5 (no Xbox’s allowed, that would be illegal) and play a variety of Fifa, Marvel Heroes and Valorant because it’s said to sharpen our skills and better society. Many women knock on my door saying they want me to grant them children, but knowing that my KDA might suffer from their demands I know not to give in, and to instead keep grinding until my next government granted dialysis appointment. Mon dieu que j’aime le Québec 🙏
Hope Sandy enjoys herself a nice rest day
I’ve used open project a bit and like it. It has a decently step learning curve in my opinion since I’ve never formally learned project management, but after getting used to it it’s fantastic software
Montréal is a beautiful city, even after traveling around I can assure you it’s worth the trip 😁
For me that was dwarf fortress. Insane game bought on a whim!
Oh it’s awesome to see posts from Paula Simons on lemmy! For context, she’s a Canadian Senator that has an active Mastodon account, and has interacted with constituents directly through the fediverse. I haven’t done much of a deep dive into her politics, but she’s openly taken questions from the fediverse and brought them to the senate floor, and then shared back the replies from the federal government.
In my opinion, she’s a great example of what a politican can be when they leverage decentralized social media.
Hey, yeah that guy should get some credit too!
I feel a really similar sense of dread. Although I completed my university studies in a STEM field, there simply aren’t many jobs that seem to be left. I don’t know what will come next, but I stay hopeful that what comes after that will be a better time for all of us. I dream of a more compassionate society, where we make significant progress as individual communities on how to better live in harmony with our environments. Let’s hope that what comes next doesn’t prevent me from helping make that dream a reality.
Yep that’s the official one, had to go back to my follows to make sure I got the right one
Yes! They’re in piaille.fr, here’s a link to their account for major headlines https://piaille.fr/@lemonde (assuming I linked that correctly)
EDIT: Actually I went back and their main account is this one: https://mastodon.social/@lemonde The one I previously posted appears to be reserved for certain headlines
A timeless classic
Yeah the dude completely forgot that 1/5 of Canadians don’t even speak the same language as Americans…
I want to unread this
Yeah how else will ChatGPT tell you how to distribute (a^2 +b2)(c2+d^2)? /s
Really recommend giving their episodes a listen, it’s also so fucking funny that Brace and yung Chomsky got away with their interviews. Listening to their description of what it was like on the podcast and then watching the interviews themselves never fails to make me laugh
Yeah exactly! I’ve even used the bridge yesterday since I’m on Mastodon, and my girlfriend just migrated to bluesky after hearing about the exodus. The process is really easy and only takes a bit of time for some of the DMs to get sent, but otherwise I have no complaints!
