No more coffee but plenty of PRIME™ for all!
There are portable washing machines that hook to a kitchen tap and drain to the sink, had one when renting a place with no laundry on-site and just hung dry everything. So much better than going to a laundromat weekly, and paid for itself too.
In Canada we already have Power Corporation (what a name), they’ve owned our Prime Ministers for decades

How many of you were hit with mallets last week?
The price of rakes and yard vacuums would skyrocket. City parks would be fenced off and guarded by armed militia the way natural diamond deposits are. In cartoons, those giant paper yard waste bags would be the new sack with dollar sign printed on them. Everyone would suddenly hate the Toronto Maple Leafs (oh they already do? never mind that one)
Rented this a few times from Blockbuster and played it at the demo that was always set up at Costco, it was a really solid system with actual potential. Blockbuster had a program back in the day where for $40 or something like that you could rent a system with 2 controllers and 2 games for 7 days. Did the same with the Sega Saturn with similar feelings, eventually ended up owning a N64 and that was not a disappointment in the end.
The ballistic hard shell cases with foam inserts Blockbuster rented out consoles in were seriously cool I wonder if any exist still
Oh yeah we had those too. I totally forgot about A&E, those tapes were around for sure. And a lot of stuff from the National Film Board, I think the schools in Canada got that stuff for free or something.
In class it was always
Although in grade 9 law class we got to watch Heat, Dirty Harry and My Cousin Vinny, that teacher was cool
In the USA/Canada the cheapo ice cream is labeled “frozen dairy dessert”, instead of “ice cream”.
Exactly this. It was a very boring job, pretty much just filling out a form for people who couldn’t /didn’t want to do it themselves online… not sure what about it was worth sharing to begin with, would have been terrible content lol
Someone at a no-paper, no-phones call centre I worked at had their buddy film them taking a call then they posted it to YouTube, both of them got fired when someone in management apparently saw it online.
I always liked the translucent purple N64 and the controller that came with it. If they made a GameCube that way it would probably be my favourite.
The library is great! I’m going to pick up a radon detector the next time they have them when I’m there, I’ve borrowed a Kill-a-Watt meter a few times, pretty useful. The main branch has a makerspace with a 3D Printer, a cricut, a sewing machine and stuff like that.
When I lived in Toronto, the library had a number of free passes to museums every week, was nice to use those.
Imagine thinking a Donald Trump promise holds any value
There’s an old saying in Tennessee… I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee… that says fool me once, shame on… shame on you.
