All they had to do is throw in jail is correct. But no, they kept him around and used him as the “orange boogyman” so they can campaign without campaign promises.

I asked my coworkers who are mostly black and Puerto Rican (some of them even converted to Islam; none of them seem like atheists). They all agree that Trump will abolish taxes on overtime and forced child support (they swore that they would still pay for what their children actually need; I guess I gave them a “look”). Honestly, I couldn’t find a real source of Trump even promising these things. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was made up on social media.

It seems that many non-white urban folks voted for Trump. It seems most people just want a promise of food and shelter if they put in the work (people are working so many hours now). There’s probably a logical reason why neither party has a platform anymore.

Being able to set your own hours is something most people dream of. Many conventional jobs have a busy season where 50+ hours is mandatory. I’m glad your friend is able to get a good balance going.

Personally, I think Biden’s take on Palestine is insane. It’s like he as a personal stake on the continuation of making Palestinians miserable . Why do people still defend on when it comes to this? It’s insane the amount of trans hate I have been hearing this past month alone (in real life). I have to explain: Sure, they weren’t always front and center as today’s political issues make them seem but they still existed. Their existence is not a recent development in any way. Tiktok isn’t turning your kids into anything.

It’s not just people who identify as Republicans or religious people either. I can see why the anti-queer vote is important to both parties; their numbers are staggering.

I shudder at the thought of driving for work. It’s already so hard to keep up spatial awareness of the crazy drivers for an hour or less. I cannot imagine 8 hours of that.
