Idk I dont see the advantage of this over the RG35XXSP. I guess if you really like the gba form factor but tbh this seems like they’re banking on nostalgia while doing very little new. Every few months Ambernic releases a new one of these with very little improvements and a different form factor. Me personally I would love to see them try a Steam Deck style handheld with a low end embedded ryzen processor for $150-$200.

You can use any controller but imo none feel as comfortable as the original steam controller in my larger hands, also the touchpads are nice.

They wont do anything about it because SteamOS is not and will never be a general purpose desktop OS. Its a gaming distro designed to do one thing and one thing well, game. It can do other things but its not meant to, kinda like a reverse MacOS.

Objectively speaking Linux is not a Windows replacement, its a minix replacement and competes with FreeBSD. Not everyone wants Linux and tbh I wouldnt reccomend Linux to most people.
