We don’t. Not with the incoming Republican government. They don’t believe in regulating businesses.

Google is already testing the Lügenpresse filter.

To be fair, leaking government secrets is the most effective defense against momma jokes.
Oh, I’m not discounting their need or efficacy.
I think is absolutely criminal that we are paying to filter out the chemicals and not 3M and DuPont.
The good news is they won’t be as much of a concern as the lead, mercury, arsenic, and many other environmental toxin regulations that will be repealed so we can turn the US into the unregulated child labor factory utopia that US businesses so desperately need to move to domestic production while maintaining profits.
The majority of PFAs that we’ve consumed have been from food packaging and clothing/textile treatments over the last ~30 years.
Kris Hansen, the scientist who tested for the presence of PFO contaminants in blood for 3M, found them in all of the bags of blood she tested from the American Red Cross in the late 1990s. Those bags were initially intended to be the control against testing the high levels found in 3M employees.

I like to imagine them running out of oxygen and food on Mars after weeks of nonstop arguing, expelling their final, hateful words at each other.
Either way, it’s like having a warm cup of tea under a blanket while I wait out the storm that is my mind.
My coping fantasy plays off of their arrogance. Imagine it. On the day of Trump’s inauguration, he admits that climate change is real and shouts, “good luck, suckers,” as he and Musk board a SpaceX rocket bound for Mars.
A guy can dream. lol
$45 for 65 gallons? That lasts one person 4-6 weeks depending on their weight. That’s not even counting using filtered water for cooking, tea, coffee, etc.
A regular Brita filter 3-pack only costs $15. The PFA rated filters are nine times more expensive by comparison.
Why bother? He won’t see trial before inauguration and will pardon himself from any federal charges immediately after taking office.
Maybe next time they’ll think twice about scamming well-off people that can afford qualified attorneys and stick to ripping off the poor.
Yes, but only the most expensive point of use filters will remove PFAs.

That’s the point. Many Senators are taking their holiday leave early in defeat. Republicans could potentially begin legislating now if they have majority.
I think you underestimate the rippling damage that four years of Trump loyalists running the HHS, FDA, CDC, EPA, DoE, CIA, FBI, etc. can do to the world.
That’s on top of the damage from rapidly repealing regulations by the President.
Even if we replace the whole government with progressives, it’ll take decades to fix, assuming we survive that long.
It’s possible the first time traveler was the kid who attempted to assassinate Trump and shot his ear, it’s just that we’re living in the dimension in which he failed.
Not just worse for Palestinians. Remember, Trump enacted the first US Muslim immigrant ban in 2017.

Of course they knew.
Scientists like Svante Arrhenius in the late 1800s first proposed the idea that increased carbon dioxide from human activities could cause warming through the greenhouse effect.
In 1958, Charles Keeling began recording continuous CO2 measurements at Mauna Loa, Hawaii, creating the “Keeling Curve” which provided definitive proof of rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.

Here’s some perspective.
That’s only 1/1500 of his net worth.
It’s the same as someone worth $50,000 spending $750.
Most of us worked harder to buy our mattresses than Elon worked to buy the election.
I believe it’s The Art of the Deal.
Sure, if you can afford it. It’s more important to avoid premade foods wrapped in water-resistant paper or plastics until all companies have removed PFAs from their packaging. There’s a far higher chance of ingesting PFAs from package leeching.
