I also don’t want kids and wouldn’t be a good parent, but for different reasons.

Malevolent is such a nice word.
For those, like me, that didn’t know its meaning. It means malicious.

dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•Do you still have one somewhere?2·3 days agoThey can but I don’t believe the average burner phone user would even know how.
I’m no expert but you would need to flash the firmware for the baseband modem. But then you would need a valid IMEI and then what happens with network collisions if it’s already on the network.
How do you verify you’re actually broadcasting the spoofed IMEI without some hardware to intercept the signals being sent out.
Just seems like a lot of effort when you can just use burner phones and not run the risk. With OPSec you only need to screw up once.
I’d rather you didn’t have kids pal. It doesn’t appear that you have the mental maturity to raise a kid that wouldn’t need therapy later in life.
I say this as someone who had parents with the mindset of your original comment. Like you don’t even know why this person threatened to assault their kid, you just side with them.
I’d rather have an obnoxious kid than a dense kid.
It would appear you were not obnoxious.
dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•Do you still have one somewhere?13·3 days agoIf you’re using a burner SIM in your regular phone then it’s not really a burner SIM.
Fine if you’re just using it to hide your phone number companies, but if you’re hiding from the authorities then it’s the devices IMEI which is going to sell you out I’m afraid.
What you’re going to the feature?

dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.deto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you are walking outside, do you often look around to make sure no one is following you? Do people normally do this, or am I just paranoid?2·4 days agoPeople can be weird but spending time worrying about something so unlikely is a waste imo.
dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.deto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you are walking outside, do you often look around to make sure no one is following you? Do people normally do this, or am I just paranoid?8·4 days agoNope. Grew up in a pretty rough town and you kinda know a lot of the undesirables. I’ve been alive for over 40 years and only once confronted in the street.
I’ll take walks home in the early hours of the morning (02:00) through very dark secluded areas.
Now if there was a pattern of people being attacked here, then I’d be taking a different route but I tend not to worry about things like this as it’s incredibly rare and the stress of worrying probably does more damage to your health than a would be attacker.
Edit: Have an example from a few days ago. Me and a couple of friends went for a smoke and a walk through a Forrest in pitch black with a flash light and I was more concerned with the bugs getting in my sliders than being murdered 😂.

Don’t get me wrong I like this place on the whole, but I’ve just come to realise nobody here actually wants to engage with anybody different and just dog piles.
We are the left wing version of r/conservative.

I hear these and I’ve had some therapy but I don’t know how to believe the lines and not dwell.
My boss is a real one and will drop me a message saying can we have a word outside, p.s. it’s nothing bad.
I am lucky that I found an employer who actually cares about us and the work is truly second to our mental health.
