I have Meross smart plugs and they don’t cycle unexpectedly. They do use older wifi chips though and my Meross garage door opener has issues staying connected for some reason . I’ve not had an issue with their power plugs though, been using them for 3-4 years as well.

Zanathos@lemmy.worldto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Ori & No Rest for the Wicked developer Moon Studios "might not be around anymore in a couple months" if user reviews for No Rest for the Wicked don't improve ... according to studio founderEnglish10·8 days agoThat’s really unfortunate as I bought NRftW at EA launch and love the game. Any EA takes time and they really are putting a lot into it.
They recently launched a ginormous patch that basically revamped a lot of the combat and performance issues in the game, requiring a new character be made. I was upset when I first heard the news, but after reading the gigantic patch notes released it makes total sense why my old character just won’t work anymore. It’s still playable in a different version too, they didn’t out right delete the character.
I don’t think multiplayer is available yet which may be a huge gripe for everyone as they said at launch it was their next main objective, but the game plays really well as a single player.
The only complaint I may have is that loading times are abysmal, but I play primarily on Steam Deck and have to say the latest patch has addressed many performance issues outside of load times that it suffered from on previously. Lots of love going into the game and I suppose it’s time for me to post this on Steam for their support!

He’s been raised with the connotation that America is out to get him. Failed businesses, failed casinos, failed non-profits. NO! It’s the system that’s fucked up, not ME! A tyrannical dumbass that can’t accept failure and realize his own issues. He instead blames it on everyone else. Well guess what, he’s in charge and going to game the system in his favor now, or take it down trying.

I did it purely because the first big hax was released and I was able to easily port my GC\Wii hacked HDD to it AND also have WiiU games hacked games available. WW and TWP were also a big part of that purchase decision for me.
I got a Switch and BotW ultimate CE on release, but will be skipping the S2 for some time. Likely until the next Zelda comes out if the Steam Deck can’t easily emulate other S2 titles by that time. I’m bummed I’ll be missing the new DK game (only 10GB file size though so not very big) and Hyrule Warriors game as the last one was amazing, but it’s a basic beat em up so no love really lost there.

I’m sure there are alternate HA add-ons. This may require HACS but not certain.

As another commenter said, any crash in that design is guaranteed life threatening without some type of buffer.
At 10 they should know better. Now, I don’t know the dynamic of this “neighborship”, and pettiness is not the way to go about anything. At the same time though, it’s only water.

The first failed shortly after the 3-year warranty expired and was MSRP $600. The second failed right before warranty expiration with MSRP $1200 thinking a better unit would be less prone to fail, but alas.
Thankfully I was able to RMA to get my data back (proprietary RAID), and while waiting on RMA to return, built a custom TrueNAS server I can service all parts on myself for around the same cost of a new NAS. Sold the RMA unit on eBay to recoup some cost as well. All I ever ran on those units was Plex and Samba\NFS file shares. Never again.

There are so many tools available to manage the content your kids consume - ad blockers, family accounts with monitoring and management, ect. I may be biased as I’m in the IT profession, but if you live in this digital age and claim ignorance on anything technology related then it’s no wonder we are on the state we are in.
Many of the responsibilities the US government agencies used to take on themselves have been eroded to be handled by the individual, coupled with a subscription society for the or day to day appliances and tools we use. After working a full time job M-F, and if I don’t have after hours tasks to handle I get maybe 1 hour worth of family before it’s time to pack it up for the night. Weekends are typically house work or chores. I consider myself fortunate to have that much. Squeeze in management of my kids content intake and that’s just more time taken away from everything else on the list.
I’ll do it though because I’ll be damned if my kids grow up like these kids are now.

Happened to that American student years ago in South Korea too. He was on a trip and got sentenced to a slave camp for “defacing a poster” if I recall, and as the family was fighting for his release, oops he’s in a body bag now. At least they sent his body back for the family.
About as well as Jan. 6th. I can’t believe the country just forgot about that too.

Then you and your friends are accepting of the problem.
FOR NOW… My wife had to have them every year from 21-23, then every three years until she was 29. Then 5 years which she’s approaching now. If you have a medical history of needing them, you will likely need them again at some point.
There is an HACS addon for Meross to make the calls all local. I haven’t messed with it too much but it does work. The issue with my garage door opener is purely an issue with my Ubiquity setup and the fact it’s connecting through an exterior wall.
