Yeah what I remember working on the campaign was a bunch of people didn’t show up and fucking vote in the primary and Bernie lost. Sure, there was some fuckery that shifted momentum but at the end of the day my fellow progressives didn’t get enough votes because we act like the DNC controls the outcome of the primaries and end up helping make that the reality ourselves.

If all the people bitching about the DNC and telling everyone the Democrats are a lost cause showed up to vote in the primary, Bernie would’ve won.

Yeah but they bought their citizenship, they didn’t have it given to them by some stupid thing like the Constitution. Plus, they’re the “right kind” of immigrants. Wink wink.

We’re not moving them from within, that hasn’t worked at all.

We’ve barely tried. No one shows up to the primaries. The existing leadership has continuously coasted because they don’t have any pressure whatsoever in the primary. I cannot even count the number of progressive candidates that lose in the primaries because the ones who show up are conservative Democrats.

If we want change for the Democratic Party, it’s going to take people actually participating. We straight up have not seen that yet.

It’s both. And a candidate failing to earn your vote doesn’t absolve you of the responsibility to protect democracy from a fascist when the situation presents itself.

Your feelings about abortion are perfectly valid. Wanting to tell someone else that they can’t have a medical procedure unless it meets YOUR justification standards is asinine and should be met with ridicule. There is no compromise on a fundamental right like this. Stay out of people’s healthcare decisions.

Absolutely. I place most of the blame here on voters. Even with all those GOP shenanigans in place, a majority of Americans made a choice. I’m well aware the Democratic Party didn’t do itself any favors but the people ultimately decided that this is what they wanted. It wasn’t win or lose, it was a choice between two clear outcomes and they picked authoritarianism.

It feels like more people are wearing their Nazi/Trump merch out in public now here. They definitely don’t feel like they need to hide anymore.

Yeah I could see this argument working for Mueller, maybe. But Jack Smith has been pretty on the ball this whole time. There are a couple things I wished he would’ve done faster, but I understand his reasoning. The problem is we let conservatives completely corrupt the judiciary the last 40 years.
