To be!
Just a guy doing stuff.

It looks like it runs perfectly via WINE from a few quick Google searches
I did not hit her! Oh hi, Mark, you piece of shit
My favorite variant: Your secret is safe with my indifference.
And Zoolander is a movie in which such a name would fit reasonably well
Specifically, it’s that the doors opening mechanisms are powered, and the power was not being applied to open them. There is no exterior mechanical entry option.
For the first one, you should look into some z wave light switches; I have my house wired with them and then I setup triggers for things like “double tap this switch up to turn on the whole room” and “double tap this switch down to start a bedtime routine”
Most text transcript services are too complex to run on the tiny little processor in these devices. They would be sending audio or nothing at all
it could store the recordings and bundle them with an innocent request, encrypted even. unless you have physically looked inside the device and checked that it is incapable of doing this, you are simply trusting a company’s word.
Plenty of people have done just that; And discovered that no, Echo devices do not do that. Also audio recordings are big, so the folks who have done proper network analysis would probably have noticed such a thing.
Echo devices have two computers in them: One that only listens for the wake word and activates the second computer. A second computer that does the actual relay and processing for the voice commands.
Claiming they’re always recording is just unnecessary fearmongering
Word of warning, loads of those are full of hidden malware that will attempt to infect the other devices on your network. Probably best to make your own every time.
Yeah the hardest part is going around and updating your address with sites you use.
Every time I’ve done it, I’ve also put an auto forward on my old address, and a label or other alert for anything that comes through from the old so I can go update it or block that address from auto forwarding.
I think the person was saying it’s a good idea to have your own domain because with a gmail.com address, you’re stuck with Gmail. With your own, you can change providers any time by setting up your addresses at the new provider and updating the mail records to point to them. Boom! New email provider, same addresses.
DSP recently got localized small distribution drones, you can convert any storage box into a tiny logistics station now. It’s pretty sweet, really reduces the spaghetti early on in recent playthroughs
I switch between this and Shutter on a regular basis depending on what I feel like using that day.
My autistic ass has always thought of it as “I’m going to the (specific) bathroom (that I will be using)”
Group policy lets you basically configure anything on any machine in the active directory domain; Installed programs, installed updates, basically any settings, schedules, services, automatically adding (and limiting by users if you want) network devices like printers and storage… It’s pretty powerful, and does way more than just filesystem permissions.
I’m already autistic, what’s it gonna do, give me a software update?
This guy’s with The Enlightened, rattle him boys!
Just here in the comments as a top level comment, as an explanation of the image
Somehow there’s never time to do it right, but there’s always time to do it again
