The interception of a Canadian military plane by Chinese fighter jets over international waters on Monday was unacceptable, dangerous and reckless, said Defence Minister Bill Blair.

It was literally part of a UN operation.
It’s a Security Council resolution, very different than a broader UN operation.
The resolution itself does not provide for military force to be used for enforcement. Canada was acting against this.
