So I just looked it up and their proposal is for a temporary ceasefire and the release of all hostages, which accomplishes less than nothing. It also lacks teeth from what I’ve understood.
From what I remember , US claimed those UN resolutions didn’t include what they considered to be a complete hostage exchange.
