They don’t work. I can’t see them in my browser, or in any of the client apps I’ve tried. The links work, and they expand to embedded gifs as they should, but the thumbnail is blank.

It appears to be a lemmy UI issue for the web, you may need to enable NSFW previews in the app you’re using for thumbnails there
