That word has a few meanings; I have no idea which one Les was referring to.
Where they’re from, it’s a bit of a joke since the area has a bunch of, well, blue collar tweakers haha. Not unusual to see them walking down the Dam and nothing has changed, not for him when he wrote this song, not for me when I grew up listening to it, and not currently for these damned blue-collar tweakers running this here town!

Long time Primus fan here. Saw them in a small bar in Trenton New Jersey in the early 90s. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
Jay Lane, who did not play on the original studio version of Tommy the Cat, did a great job here nailing down Tim Alexander’s drum parts.
(Lane was actually Primus’ original drummer, and rejoined the band for a few years.)
